Suggestion for the NBA
Didn’t watch tonight’s game, but I think that’s harsh. Poor refereeing is def something that should be minimized, but a fine would imply punishment for intentional wrongdoing. Maybe have them retake refereeing school after a given number of poor/missed calls or something.Instead of only suspending/fining players for misconduct, hold referees accountable too when a call is blatantly wrong and fine/suspend them as well. That way, referees tend to be more careful as well on deciding games.
Berkeley
Just realized i’m not going to see most of my berkeley friends ever again. Its not even just my friends, its the random people I see everyday. The faces that I see every Monday while walking to class. Or the people who work at other labs in Koshland. Or the guys from my math discussion I see every week at the gym. I guess that’s a little weird.
CL Final
Well, the good news is that we won’t have to worry about fixture congestion next winter due to the Club World Cup. As much as I wish we had won, its nice to see Drogba finally get a CL win. He’s a prolific striker and a great person.
But why did Kroos and Robben not take penalties. Robben is maybe understandable because of the earlier miss, but why have Olic, a guy who hasn’t played consistently in 2 yrs, take one over kroos? Thank god Neuer made his, or we would have been totally fucked.
Watching Basti miss his pen was physically painful.
